Collaborate with other bloggers
Invite guest bloggers to write for your site, do blog exchanges, or hire a professional in your industry that has a following. The more traffic you get from other people’s networks, the better.
Use SEO Keywords
When someone searches for your brand, what terms do they type into Google? What words and terms are your ideal customers searching for? Use these keywords in your blogs, in your website copy, in your social media, everything! This will help your ideal clients find you online.
Use Metatags everywhere you can
Metatags are mini descriptions that you can add to certain elements of your website. This helps identify what and organize what is on your website, and also helps Google display your website easily on search results. Meta tags include the title of each of your web pages, description of your page, and index/robots pages.
Use H1, h2, h3
Organizing your webpage with H1, H2, H3 headers are a great way to communicate to Google what is on your page and how it is organized. H1 headers can be used for main headings like the page title. While H2 and H3 titles are more like subheadings in a hierarchical sorting system.
Make sure your blogs are being indexed by google
Does your site have a robots.txt page? Has Google indexed your site? These are all important questions to ask your website creator or SEO consultant when you are improving your page.
Create content people WILL need
Anticipating your customers’ questions is a great way to have people keep clicking on your blog articles and explore your page more - which leads to more on-screen time and referral traffic. Create related blogs for every blog and link them on the side or bottom of the page and take advantage of curiosity. Answer their next questions before they even have them.
