Let's face it, your Christmas tree may, or may not be the only thing lit this season. In the event that you'll be sipping while cooking, caroling, or whatever tradition this time of the year brings for you, we're sitting oru 5 favorite Holiday Cocktail


DRIVEN SNOW COCKTAIL


INGREDIENTS Finely-crushed candy canes 1 1/2 oz. white chocolate liqueur 1 oz. blackstrap rum 1/2 oz. ginger liqueur Ice Water


DIRECTIONS

  1. Dip the rim of a glass in water, then in finely crushed candy canes.

  2. Combine white chocolate liqueur, blackstrap rum, ginger liqueur, and ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously, then strain into prepared glass.

  3. Serve garnished with a bite-size gingerbread cookie, if desired.

Santa Clausmopolitan


INGREDIENTS Lime wedge, for rim white sanding sugar 1 c. vodka 1 1/2 c. cranberry juice 1/4 c. triple sec 1/4 c. fresh lime juice 1/2 c. fresh cranberries


DIRECTIONS

  1. Run a lime wedge around each glass then dip in sanding sugar.

  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice then add vodka, cranberry juice, triple sec, and lime juice. Shake until the cocktail shaker is cold.

  3. Divide drinks between rimmed glasses and add cranberries for garnish.

Sugar Cookie Martini


INGREDIENTS

FOR THE MARTINI 1/2 c. whole milk 1/4 c. Baileys 2 oz. vanilla vodka 2 oz. amaretto Ice

FOR THE RIM 1/2 c. vanilla frosting 1/4 c. sprinkles, plus 1 tsp., divided Pre-made sugar cookie dough

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 350° and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Roll sugar cookie dough out to ¼” thick. Using a cookie cutter, cut out desired shapes then place cookies on prepared baking sheet. Bake until just set and lightly golden around the edges, 12 minutes. Let cool .

  2. Using an offset spatula, spread a thin layer of frosting onto rim of two martini glasses. Pour ¼ cup sprinkles onto a small plate then dip rims in sprinkles to coat. Use an offset to frost cookies with frosting then decorate with remaining 2 tablespoons sprinkles.

  3. In a cocktail shaker, combine milk, Baileys, vodka, and amaretto. Add ice and shake until cold. Pour into glasses and garnish rim with a cookie.



Christmas Cosmos


INGREDIENTS 1 c. vodka 1 c. pomegranate-cranberry juice blend 1/4 c. orange liqueur 3 tbsp. fresh lime juice Lime twists

Directions DIRECTIONS

  1. Put the vodka, pomegranate juice, orange liqueur, and lime juice in a large liquid measuring cup or pitcher.

  2. Add ice and stir 30 seconds or until cold; strain into chilled martini glasses.

  3. Garnish with lime twists.

Peppermintinis


INGREDIENTS 1/2 c. semisweet chocolate chips, melted 1/4 c. crushed candy canes 6 oz. white chocolate liqueur 4 oz. vodka 2 oz. peppermint schnapps 2 tbsp. heavy cream Ice 3 small candy canes

DIRECTIONS

  1. Pour melted chocolate onto a shallow plate, and place crushed candy canes on another shallow plate. Dip rims of martini glasses first in chocolate, then in candy canes. Pour remaining chocolate into the bottom of glasses and swirl to coat the bottom ⅓ of glasses with chocolate. Place glasses in freezer while you prepare the drink.

  2. Combine white chocolate liqueur, vodka, peppermint schnapps, and heavy cream in a cocktail shaker. Fill to the top with ice and shake until cold. Divide drink between 3 glasses and garnish with a candy cane before serving.
