When you decide to be your own boss, you're also ultimately deciding to be your first employee. That's the part of building your brand that you won't find on a graphic tee. As a matter of fact, most of us would prefer to have complete control over the foundation on which our businesses are built. We want to be confident in our policies and processes as well as our products and/or services. Once you've laid the foundation and your business begins to grow, you may opt to hire a team. Having reliable people to help you run your business can be invaluable as you scale and expand your brand.   • The turnover rate.
